Special session: Women in nuclear energy applications – an opportunity for development and transition

Session objectives

The global renaissance of nuclear power also presents an opportunity for women to advance their careers, as well as to achieve the goals of sustainability, environmental protection and climate neutrality, and foster diversity. For Poland’s nuclear energy industry, it is a new beginning and a chance to build a system based on these values from the ground up. The integration of women in the energy sector can serve these goals.

Key Areas of Focus:

  • Popularizing the benefits of nuclear energy and radiation applications – raising awareness of the safety of nuclear technology
  • The energy trilemma: can all needs be met in the global transition?
  • Increasing the participation and visibility of women in the energy transition
  • Gender equality and diversity of competencies in the industry
  • Nuclear energy as a weapon in the fight against climate change and a manifestation of environmental concerns
